Summer is finally here and that means it’s time to freshen up my perfume collection with some lighter, brighter scents perfect for the hot weather. As a huge Nicki Minaj fan, I was so excited when I heard she had released a new limited edition summer fragrance this year. I’m always down to smell like my Queen, so I knew I had to get my hands on Nicki’s new sunny scent ASAP!

After doing some research online, I discovered the perfume is called Pink Print Sunshine – how cute is that name?! As soon as I caught wind of Nicki Minaj releasing a new summer perfume, I went straight to the source – her social channels! I was hopeful Queen Nicki had dropped some details there about when and where we could buy Pink Print Sunshine. Unfortunately her posts were vague, just sharing glam photos of the pale pink perfume bottle and captions saying it was “coming soon.” Not helpful!

Next I scoured perfume blogs and forums looking for any intel fellow fragrance lovers may have discovered about the release date for Nicki’s summer perfume. Most commenters seemed just as eagerly awaiting more info as me. But I did pick up one useful tip – someone said they called the Nicki Minaj customer service number and learned the perfume would launch exclusively on the Nicki Minaj website first. Good to know!

From there, I went straight to NickiMinajFragrance.com and typed in “summer perfume” in the search bar. Success! Up popped the stunning campaign visuals Nicki had teased on socials along with the full product name, Pink Print Sunshine Eau de Parfum. The website said it would launch in just 2 days and could only be purchased online – for now!

I clicked on the perfume details and finally got the juicy intel I’d been thirsting for: top notes of juicy mandarin and pear; a heart of orange blossom, jasmine and lily of the valley; and a base of sensual vanilla, patchouli and musk. It also touted the perfume’s vibrant, fruity-floral aroma perfect for summer fun. I got vibey golden hour beach scene just reading the description!

Debating Shelling Out for Nicki’s New Scent

As soon as Pink Print Sunshine launched, I rushed to the website ready to snag my bottle of Nicki Minaj’s limited edition summer perfume. But when I saw the price – $150 for 100ml!!! – I hesitated. That was a lot more than I usually spend on perfume.

Even though I really wanted to smell like a tropical Nicki Minaj fantasy this summer, I had to consider: was it really worth splurging on this perfume? The steep price point made me second guess my purchase. I had to weigh the pros and cons before clicking “buy.”

After mulling it over, debating it endlessly, and sleeping on it for a solid week, I finally said YOLO and clicked ‘add to cart.’ I decided splurging on this Nicki Minaj summer perfume would be totally worth it for the joy of feeling like I was glowing from within! No regrets – I couldn’t wait to finally smell how amazing Pink Print Sunshine was.

Unboxing & First Impressions of Pink Print Sunshine

After eagerly awaiting my order for what felt like forever (real talk – the 2 day express shipping was false advertising LOL) I finally received my Nicki Minaj Pink Print Sunshine perfume in the mail! I was so excited to unbox it and see the gorgeous bottle up close.

As soon as I slit open the pale pink mailer box, I caught a whiff of the juicy, sweet scent and knew it was love at first sniff. I pulled out the stunning rounded glass bottle with its bright gradient print. It looked and felt so luxurious!

Twisting open the shiny gold lid, I found a small white booklet talking about the fragrance notes and inspiration behind Pink Print Sunshine. I spritzed some on the booklet and brought it right up to my nose, eager to get my first impression before trying it on.

The burst of mandarin and pear immediately said “summer” and transported me poolside. I also picked up the sunny florals, especially the heady orange blossom. There was definitely a vanilla sweetness too, but it wasn’t too overpowering. Overall, the perfume smelled vibrant, fruity and feminine, while still feeling fun and flirty. Exactly what I hoped for based on the marketing!

I decided I couldn’t wait any longer – I just had to test it out. I misted some right on to experience the full evolution from top notes to dry down. The initial spray was all sparkling citrus and fruits. But then the white florals kicked in, lending a sexy floral heart. Finally, the dry down was a warm, sweet base of vanilla and musk. I was officially obsessed!

Testing Pink Print Sunshine in Hot Summer Weather

The day after unboxing my new Nicki Minaj summer perfume, I woke up to blazing 90 degree weather – the perfect chance to test it out! I wanted to see how Pink Print Sunshine would perform in peak heat and humidity before wearing it as my go-to summer scent.

After showering, I moisturized with an unscented body cream so my skin was prepped but the perfume would shine. I decided to spray it on all my usual pulse points – inside wrists, behind ears, and on my décolletage. I went for two spritzes per spot so I could really soak up that juicy summer aroma.

Stepping outside into the intense summer sun, that blast of mandarin immediately awakened my senses and gave me a burst of sunshine-y energy. I kept catching whiffs of the beautiful florals too. So far, in the heat, Pink Print Sunshine was holding up well and still smelled fruity and floral.

After about an hour of running around in the heat though, I noticed the bright citrus notes started fading away. The vanilla and musk became more prominent on my skin. I wouldn’t say it got cloying, but the dry down was definitely warmer and softer. Overall, the perfume lasted about 4 hours before fading away.

For staying power in extreme heat, Pink Print Sunshine could be longer lasting. But I can’t complain too much. Most fruity, fresh notes don’t persist in summer swelter. As far as floral fruity perfumes go, this one is a winner! I’m satisfied with its performance and longevity.

Wearing Pink Print Sunshine All Summer Long

Now that I’ve vetted out Nicki Minaj’s new summer scent to my satisfaction, Pink Print Sunshine has become my go-to warm weather perfume this year. Its vibrant, fruity notes just instantly put me in a summer state of mind. I love catching whiffs of juicy mandarin and fresh florals throughout the day when I wear it.

Here are some of my favorite ways I’ve been rocking Pink Print Sunshine all season long:

• For weekend brunch on the patio, I’ll spritz it on to complement a bright, flowy sundress. Nothing starts a day of sunshine quite like smelling like vacation!
• Before hitting up an outdoor concert, I mist my neck and décolletage to give my skin a gorgeous glow even if I end up a sweaty dancing mess by the end. Gotta smell fruity and fab!
• For date nights out on the town, I’ll layer Pink Print Sunshine with a body shimmer lotion and let the aura of mandarin and pear spark summer romance.
• On girls’ beach trips, I make sure to pack this perfume so I can mist on a quick pick-me-up after taking a dip in the ocean. Smelling like paradise – check!

Is Nicki’s Summer Perfume Worth the Price?

Now that I’ve had the chance to really experience Nicki Minaj’s new limited edition summer fragrance, it’s time for my final verdict: Yay or nay – is Pink Print Sunshine worth the hefty price tag?

In my opinion, yes! Despite the steep $150 cost, I have zero regrets about splurging on this perfume. The juice inside absolutely lives up to the marketing promises of a fruity, floral tropical dream. It’s become my favorite scent of the season and truly makes me feel bright and sunny whenever I spritz it on.

That delicious mix of juicy mandarin, pretty florals, and sweet vanilla manages to feel equally fun and flirty. While the longevity could be a bit better, I don’t mind reapplying often when it means I get to keep catching whiffs of beautiful tropical notes. And the gorgeous bottle adds major style points to my vanity.

Considering this vibrant new fragrance is limited edition and managed to make me smile all summer long, I’d say Nicki Minaj’s Pink Print Sunshine is absolutely worth every penny. To me, that price tag bought pure perfume joy and memories I’ll treasure. I know this bottle is one I’ll be holding onto for many summers to come!
